FULL BODY ACUPUNCTURE

Healing by skilled hands and a caring heart...

Acupuncture treats you, the whole person not just one symptom. The exceptional power of an acupuncture treatment lies in its ability to give you a chance to unwind, relax and activate the body’s own internal healing resources. This is when magic happens, cells, tissues and muscles start behaving – the stimulation increases the blood flow and triggers the activity of the body’s natural painkillers

CUPPING

‘Acupuncture and cupping, more than half of the ills cured' is a famous Chinese saying, supporting traditional Chinese Medicine.

Cupping is one of the best deep-tissue therapies available. Cupping is great for tight backs and shoulders, speeds up the recovery process when applied to the painful area or point of injury.

Cupping is also highly effective for the lungs and can clear congestion from a common cold, the flu, coughs and built up phlegm or help to control a person’s asthma. Respiratory conditions are one of the most common maladies that cupping is used to relieve.

Cupping removes toxins and improves blood flow through the veins and arteries. It is especially useful for athletes as cupping’s potential is to relieve muscle spasm.

GUA-SHA

GUA-SHA is a natural therapy that involves scraping your skin with a special tool, to improve circulation. Gua-sha may reduce inflammation and is used to treat ailments that cause chronic pain, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, as well as joint pain. It is excellent to get a treatment at the beginning of a cold or cough. At home, you can do it with the back of a wooden spoon. In the Far East, they also use a gentle version of Gua-sha for facial rejuvenation. It can be done at home with the back of a spoon. I myself visit a gua-sha therapist once a month, who scrapes my back, to improve circulation.
